In bodybuilding prep, hell week is the final seven days for bodybuilders leading up to the competition. It’s the most intense and brutal moment of the entire training and contest prep stage. This is largely in part due to competitors drying out to be as shredded as possible for the moment they step on stage.

For many fans of the sport, the basics of this process is understood – but to experience it is a completely different endeavor. This week, King Kamali breaks down in detail the entire process of hell week and the science behind every aspect of drying out for the best possible conditioning.
