Looks like another rivalry could be brewing.

Rivalries are the life’s blood of entertainment. When there are two opposing forces at work in a given situation you can bet that there’s going to be some friction. When everyone is agreeable and getting along it’s unlikely that an entertaining rivalry can take place. Like we stated last week, rivalries in bodybuilding are truly few and far between. While it may be true that it applies more to competitors at the top of their game, it doesn’t mean that rivalries still can’t occur after a bodybuilder’s career has come to an end.

In recent years Lee Priest has become a pretty derisive bodybuilding personality. He tells it like it is and had a perspective that few other personalities actually posses. Where other personalities speculate about what happens behind the scenes, Lee Priest has an understanding of what happens in pro bodybuilding through years of experience. As far as rivalries go, Priest has made enough controversial statements to create feuds with a number of figures within the bodybuilding industry.

This time it appears that Lee Priest is throwing down the gauntlet after being called out by Shawn Ray. After Ray made statements about being able to dominate Priest if they competed in the 212 division, Lee has gone on the offensive with a vicious rebuttal. The two have shared the stage in the past, an element that could easily mean that this potential feud has been years in the making.
