Bodybuilding has had its fair share of story lines in the past. Arnold Schwarzenegger upending Sergio Oliva to become Mr. Olympia. There was Schwarzenegger’s rivalry with Lou Ferrigno that was the basis of Pumping Iron and jump started both men’s careers. The emergence of mass monsters changed the game forever with open weight bodybuilders packing on as much muscle onto their frame as possible. There was Ronnie Coleman dominating the bodybuilding world, many believing him to be unbeatable. More recently the major story line has been the rivalry between Phil Heath and Kai Greene. But it seems that a new story line is captivating the bodybuilding masses, generating interest in the open weight division once more.

When it was first announced that Levrone was making a comeback, many people didn’t give the notion much thought. After all, Levrone had stated in the past that he planned on making a comeback without much follow through. This time however the training has been put in, the contract has been signed and all signs are pointing to an actual return to action for the bodybuilding veteran. The fact that Levrone is actually following through on his promise has gotten everyone talking, even one of bodybuilding’s most polarizing characters: Lee Priest.

Many people have their own thoughts and opinions on Kevin Levrone’s return, but Lee Priest is the kind of man whose opinion can range from either genuine intrigue to completely trashing the entire idea of making a return to the stage. Priest himself competed on the same stage with Kevin Levrone so it would be interesting to hear what his take is on all of this.
