Mark Bell Gets Real About Steroids, PEDs, And Testosterone On Joe Rogan Podcast

Strength Wars Movie

Some real talk.

The world of athletics can truly be a strange realm. Sporting endeavors all focus on being the best, taking the number one spot, being king of the hill. With that kind of pressure there’s no wonder that athletes take to using performance enhancing drugs just so they can get an edge over the competition. This very statement rings true in bodybuilding where competitors often look for sources that will enhance their performance in the gym and give them some great gains.

But bodybuilding isn’t necessarily the only sporting event that sees athletes using steroids to heighten their bodies. Other strength oriented sports have seen competitors use steroids as a means of improving their strength, namely powerlifting. In a sport that requires you to constantly push past your limits it’s no wonder that lifters would rely on PEDs to give them a definitive advantage. Performance enhancers aren’t going to do all the work of course, but they definitely give the user a leg up.

Steroids can help an athlete heal from injuries quicker, give them the ability to train harder, make them bigger, stronger, faster. That same reasoning led Mark Bell to steroids. The documentary Bigger, Strong, Faster directed by Mark’s brother Chris Bell, depicts the effects of steroid use in great detail. It was a window into a world that many people didn’t realize existed. It was certainly an eye opener and brought awareness to an issue that was laying right under our noses.

Not too long ago, Mark Bell was on comedian, UFC Color Commentator, and internet personality, Joe Rogan’s popular podcast. In the discussion Mark, along with his brother Chris, discussed a bunch of topics ranging from steroids to testosterone boosters. Check out the full podcast below.
