Martins Licis Battles Through Knee Issues to Squat and Deadlift Massive Weight

Martins Licis shows some awesome strength.

One of the strongest humans on the planet, Martins Licis has worked hard to get to his current level. After winning the 2019 World’s Strongest Man Licis has proven himself to be a beast on the world stage.

But despite his incredible strength, it’s easy to forget Martins Licis is still only human. While going through knee issues, Licis has been patient with his recovery. Steadily he has increased the strength in his lower half to the point that he can once again lift some pretty massive weight.

Firstly, Licis is once again able to squat upwards of 400 Lbs. In a recent Instagram post the 2019 World’s Strongest Man looks to be getting back to his old self.

Paused raw reps upon reps upon reps with 407lbs (185kg). The key here is that split second pause with light weight that’s helping my knees recover so well. Also, right hip is starting to come along! Nerve has been healed, knees are at 90%, now the last piece is getting my right hip back to fighting shape, and I’ll be ready to get stronger than ever. ?? Thank you again @squat_university – this rehab is truly coming along. ? @roguefitness @sbd.usa @sbdapparel @barbellapparel @reignbodyfuel @redcon1 @romarkweiss @oddhaugen @probodycoach @henrypenzi #SBDApparel #SBDUSA #ROGUE #RogueFitness #BarbellApparel #NathanPayton #Reign #Redcon1 #Strongman #Weightlifting #Powerlifting #BeALegend #MARTINS

Not only has Martins Licis regained enough strength to squat like a champion, he’s also been able to deadlift some serious weight as well.
