The former World’s Strongest Man winners hit new methods of training.

When you are among the strongest men on the planet, sometimes you will have to find a new way to challenge yourself.

Martins Licis and Mitchell Hooper are former World’s Strongest Man champions that have displayed insane strength in many ways over their careers. The two recently linked up once again where Licis completed an insane feat of strength by lifting Hooper off the floor to his shoulder.

On Tuesday, a video was shared where Hooper sat on the ground in the fetal position. Licis approached him like a stone and lifted him off the floor and eventually to his shoulder.

“INCREDIBLE feat of strength by @mitchellhooper ! 🤯 When I think I’ve seen it all, this man raises the bar another notch, and shows the world what’s possible.
Remember, when spotting your friends doing incredible displays of strength, play it safe and wear @sbdapparel belt and sleeves to make sure you can help support and do your job as a spotter.”

Martins Licis Shows Incredible Strength

Licis won the World’s Strongest Man crown in 2019 before suffering some bad luck that kept him out of competition the next year. He was able to return to prominence in 2021 by winning the Rogue Invitational. This year, he is already off to a hot start. Licis won the 2022 Arnold Strongman Classic before taking time off to focus on other ventures in his life.

Licis is currently scheduled to present the 2025 Santa Monica Classic on June 28-29. This event will take place at the Santa Monica Pier.

Mitchell Hooper has been on an incredible run in Strongman. After his win at the 2023 World’s Strongest Man, many believed the sky was the limit for Mitchell Hooper. With a brand of humor all his own and a marketable personality, Hooper appeared to be taking his career to the next level. And while he may not have won the 2024 WSM, his subsequent victory at the 2024 Giants Live Strongman Classic showed that his ranking hasn’t fallen off whatsoever.

Both Martins Licis and Mitchell Hooper remain big names in the Strongman world and there could be more to come. By the looks of training videos, it is clear that both still have incredible strength to display.
