Martyn Ford is making the leap to MMA.

These days bodybuilding and fitness are constantly crossing over with other athletic realms. As far as fitness goes, there’s perhaps no better conditioned and fit individuals in the sporting world than mixed martial artists. Having to train in multiple disciplines, build up multiple energy systems, and perform at a high level against another skilled opponent, MMA fighters are truly the cream of the crop in regards to athleticism.

The crossover between MMA and strength sports have become more and more prevalent in the last few years thanks to a handful of individuals making the leap. One of them was Mariusz Pudanowski, the former World’s Strongest Man and Polish sensation. He went on to compete in a number of MMA organizations including the Polish promotion KSW.

KSW is on the rise and has been building up its roster with a number of talented athletes from many different backgrounds from the martial arts to the fitness world. Now it seems that a very familiar face in the bodybuilding is looking to step up and take a crack at MMA.

Martyn Ford has been known to dabble in quite a few arenas. Besides being a massive bodybuilder, Martyn Ford is also an actor and the current head of 5% Nutrition. While all these avenues may be a handful to manage, Martyn Ford has instead looked at this diverse mix of endeavors as vehicles to greater success. Now Ford is looking to try his hand at mixed martial arts and he plans on doing so with KSW MMA.
