Former Mr. America Jr. Grishall Disner was shot twice in a bar in Mexico City last week.
Bodybuilder Grishall Disner was found dead in a bar in Mexico City on Wednesday night after being shot twice.
Disner, a 23-year-old champion bodybuilder, left his table at Kows Bar to go to the bathroom. Reports say that others at the bar heard two gun shots and rushed to the bathroom where Disner was found with two bullet wounds. The bar was cleared shortly after as police began investigating the scene.
Originally, it was thought that Disner “shot himself” but police continue to investigate. Reports claim that Disner was “drinking heavily” before getting up and going into the bathroom.
Grishall Disner’s Bodybuilding Career
Grishall Disner built a career as a well-known bodybuilder and influencer in his hometown. He also coached others at his gym to help them become the best versions of themselves. He was able to do all of this while also maintaining an impressive, title-winning physique of his own.
In 2023, Disner was able to win multiple titles. This includes Mr. America Jr. and Mr. Mexico Jr. victories in the +90kg category. He also won gold that same year in the Absoluto Mr. CDMX Jr. show.
Grishall Disner’s death follows an unfortunate string of tragedies within the bodybuilding community. Last year, bodybuilder Matheus Pavlak was found dead at his home in Brazil. The 19-year-old bodybuilding champion reportedly suffered a heart attack. Pavlak overcame childhood obesity and transformed his physique in an incredible way to be able to compete on the bodybuilding stage. Pavlak began training in 2019 an working with Lucas Chegatti three years later and was able to turn into a bodybuilding champion.
In October 2023, bodybuilding champion Luis Manuel Lomeli was killed. Charro Lomeli was driving his Dodge Ram truck in the San Jeronimo neighborhood in Leon, Guanajuato on Juan Alonso de Torres boulevard when he was shot by two gunmen from another vehicle, according to multiple reports.
Many fans have commented on Disner’s Instagram page following the tragedy. On Saturday, a post was shared on Disner’s account as a tribute.
