The World’s Strongest Man Mitchell Hooper took on a new challenge recently.

Strongman Mitchell Hooper has taken on, and excelled in, many fitness realms over the course of his career. The reigning World’s Strongest Man champion continues to dabble in other areas and a recent video showed his workout through an obstacle course inspired by American Ninja Warrior.

It was quite a year for Hooper in 2023. He began with a victory at the Arnold Strongman Classic. Hooper followed it up with a win during the Rogue Invitational and highlighted the season by being crowned World’s Strongest Man. The stage is now set for another run as he preps for this year’s version of the Arnold Strongman Classic.

The 6-foot-3 Strongman has started training in different ways to test his speed, agility, and balance. This has happened in and out of the gym. Inside the gym, he recently took on Olympic-style lifts such as split jerks. This time, it was something that challenged his strength in many ways.

There were a total of three obstacles that Mitchell Hooper attempted to clear. He was joined by HaleiJo Fuller-Arroyo, a CrossFit competitor who was a finalist on the show in 2018. The first was the cargo net climb. The objective was to get from one point to another without touching the ground.

“I think we might need to weight test this thing. I think regardless of the outcome, themes impressive bit might be the structural integrity of the ninja equipment.”

At 320 pounds, Hooper was able to use his impressive agility to advance to the second stage. This was the black pole. The goal here is to move to one pole to another without touching the floor. Hooper accomplishes this feat in just 15 seconds.

The final test is entitled the leap of faith where Hooper was asked to swing from a suspended ring to a series of poles. He was able to reach the first pole before taking his fall.

“You can see by the shock on my face, I didn’t think I was getting anywhere. I’ve fallen short. I’m down for the count and I need a bit of help.”

Mitchell Hooper has impressed as he shows off his strength in many ways recently. He will now prepare to defend his title at the Arnold Strongman Classic in March.
