Olympia 2017: Flex Lewis Trains At Lift Factory To Get Extra Motivation From Dallas McCarver Mural

Flex Lewis has gotten extra motivation for victory.

The Olympia is the most important bodybuilding show of the year and as such every bodybuilder in the world has fine tuned their prep in order to bring the best package to the stage. As a champion, the entire year is devoted to defending their title at the Olympia. James “Flex” Lewis is one of them, but his journey to the Olympia this year has been vastly different than his fellow champions.

Flex Lewis has been dominating the 212 division for years and it seems as if anyone hoping to topple the Olympia king will find themselves disappointed. But the death of Flex Lewis’ long time friend Dallas McCarver could easily have thrown off the champ. But rather than deter Flex Lewis, the champion has seekedout ways to use his friend’s passing as motivation.

The Lift Factory has made a mural in honor of Dallas McCarver, a mural that Flex Lewis has personally seeked out in hopes of getting extra motivation from the tribute painting.

Today I trained over at the @theliftfactory I came to see the Mural of my little brother @dallasmccarver to give me that extra push in the final hour of the last workout, seeing him over my shoulder, was a reminder of the prep we started for the @mrolympiallc and some what of a nice finisher to the final workout. – Today is the weigh ins and my last depletion training session. Thanks to coach @neil_yoda_hill1 and my brother @lukeylew2 pushing me through today. My body weight is the lightest it’s been all prep, coach has the game plan down so I’m on autopilot. – Thank you to the owners of #TheLiftFactory and the very courteous members, who allowed us to Film with the @bbc crew/ Documentary team we had there today. – #LastWorkout #DiggingDeep #DoItForDallas #dallasmccarver #LiftFactory #Y3T #NeilHill #FlexLewis #DepletionWorkout
