IFBB Pro Bodybuilder Pablo Ayala has passed away after a long battle with cancer, according to sources close to Generation Iron. Ayala, who had been suffering from colon cancer, died on Friday.
Ayala, who hailed from Paraguay, enjoyed a successful career where he competed at many of the top shows of the year. This includes the Tampa Pro and New York Pro on multiple occasions. Ayala last competed in 2018 during the George Farah Classic Italy Pro.
Farah worked with Ayala during the prime of his career. He shared this quote following the devastating news:
“I had the pleasure of working with him back in 2003. He was an incredibly kind and compassionate individual. It saddens me to hear that he reached out to me last year seeking my assistance with his cancer battle then disappeared and in January I texted him and replied I included the text. Yesterday a professional Female BB that works with me told me he passed. Very sad.”
