Johanna Perez is another tragic death in what has been a difficult year in the sport of bodybuilding. Like Perez, bodybuilder Lenny “Big Lenny” Persin was known for his big personality and spirit during his career. Persin passed away at 60 years old due to heart failure in October.
Big Lenny had previously shared that he was suffering from congestive heart failure. He had been dealing with a condition called Palumboism, which is another term used to describe bloating in the abdomen. It is often linked to the use of insulin and HGH but there are other factors as well.
Perez shared a post to Instagram just days before she passed away with “35” ballons.
“Thank you God for giving me another wonderful and magical year of life, may it be filled with love, health, desire, money, happiness, strength, and peace. Thank you for allowing me to live each day doing what I love, surrounded by wonderful people, adding incredible experiences, and fulfilling all my goals little by little.”
