Looks like Sadik had a change of heart.
For the 2015 Olympia event, much of the attention was focused on the higher weight classes, particularly the open weight class. It’s not too surprising given the fact that most people are enamored by the freakishly huge physiques that grace the posing stage. They seem completely unreal and that lends itself well to the spectacle. But in recent years many fans have been drawn to the other categories that have gained popularity. One of those classes is the Men’s Physique category featuring more streamlined physiques than the open weight class or 212 division.
The weight class is populated with budding fitness stars Steve Cook, Jeremy Buendia, and perhaps the most popular of them all Sadik Hadzovic. A mainstay of the Physique division, Sadik has grown extremely popular with the fans since obtaining his pro card in 2012. With a fan friendly social media identity coupled with some hard work put into training; Sadik has climbed to the top of his division and is considered by many to be the number one Physique competitor in the world. Too bad for him that the judges don’t feel the same.
.
At his year’s Olympia, Sadik once again was forced to take a back seat to eventual winner Jeremy Buendia for the second year in a row, though many fans and observers believed he deserved the win. With every passing year it’s looking more and more likely that Sadik will have a hard time convincing the judges that he’s the best Men’s Physique competitor in the world. But with the new Classic Physique category on the horizon things are getting a bit interesting.
When the new division was first announced, many believed that Sadik was suited for the category. Yet despite that, he went on the record stating that he’d be sticking to the Men’s Physique category. But that was before the 2015 Olympia. Now that the event is in his rear view, not to mention taking second place in his division, it seems like Sadik may be changing his tune on switching categories.
