Bodybuilding legend Robby Robinson continues to share his knowledge of fitness and bodybuilding. Recently, he shared his nine favorite exercises and made sure to hit each body part.

Robinson found great success right way in his bodybuilding career. He earned the Mr. Universe title and Mr. America title in 1975 to set a tone. In 1979, Robinson was the inaugural winner of the Night of the Champions contest.

Robinson has not stepped on stage since competing at the 2001 Masters Olympia. Now that his days on stage are over, this does not mean that his passion has gone away.

Robby Robinson Shares Top 9 Exercises

Robby Robinson went into detail about his favorite exercises used to hit each body part effectively:

Chest

For chest, Robby Robinson highlighted two different workouts and two different variations. This was the most of any body part. He discussed dumbbells and barbell along with incline and flat.

“If I was going to do chest, it would be definitely dumbbell presses or barbell presses. That would be my two. Both, preferably I would go back and forth between both.”

Back

For many body parts, Robinson was able to pick out his main exercise but also provided a backup just in case. This began with back workouts.

“Chin ups. Chins to the front, chins to the back…Next for the back would be a T-bar row.”

Shoulders

Robinson began his video with shoulders. This is one of the most mportant body parts that he would want to build.

“If I was going to do shoulders, I would seriously want to build incredibly muscular shoulders.

Behind-the-neck press I would lean. Make sure that weight, I’m pressing the deltoids. Barbell or dumbbell.”

Arms

Robby Robinson was able to hit on exercises for both biceps and triceps. First, he focused on posture and form when training biceps.

“If I am really trying to stress my biceps, I was putting my back against the wall, my knees out in front of me a little bit that forces all the weight to be on the biceps.”

For triceps, close-grip press using an EZ bar would be his choice. This allows the weightlifter to hit all three parts of the tricep. He also shared that his second choice would be rope extensions.

“My choice would be EZ bar press because what that does affects the whole bicep, all three halves of the tricep.”

Legs

For legs, Robby Robinson made sure to hit all areas. This began with squats for quads, leg presses for a change of pace, and stiff-legged deadlifts for hamstrings.

“Squats work the whole body. You gotta get that squat in there…Stiff leg deadlifts. With your leg and your body at an odd position where you are kinda leaning back.”

Robinson finished with calves, choosing donkey calf raises, and hanging leg raises for abs.
