Floyd Mayweather has lost his uncle and his ex-girlfriend in the span of a week.
The sport of boxing has lost a truly legendary figure in Roger Mayweather. He was 58.
Nicknamed The Black Mamba during his career, the former two-weight division champion who had trained his nephew Floyd Mayweather Jr for a time was a fixture in the boxing community. His near two decade long professional boxing career saw him win the WBA and Lineal super-featherweight world titles in 1983. Roger Mayweather also won the WBC light-welterweight title in 1987.

What caused the death of Roger Mayweather is still unknown.
This comes hot off the heels of the passing of Floyd Mayweather Jr’s ex-girlfriend Josie Harris. The cause her death is also unknown.
This surely comes as a truly devastating time for Floyd Mayweather Jr and his family, losing both the mother of his children and his uncle in a week’s span.
