Russell Crowe Looks Jacked at 62 During Workout With WWE Star Drew McIntyre Ahead of ‘The Last Druid‘

Russell Crowe is once again turning heads with his physique.

The 62-year-old Oscar-winning actor appeared noticeably more muscular in a new gym photo alongside WWE superstar Drew McIntyre. The image, originally shared by Crowe and later reposted by McIntyre, quickly began making the rounds online as fans reacted to the actor’s impressive arms and leaner appearance.

Crowe also confirmed that the workout wasn’t just for fun. He’s currently preparing for his upcoming film The Last Druid, revealing that he’s been filming in Spain since May.

“In the gym with Drew McIntyre. Good lad. Salt of the earth. Just finishing up the shoot on The Last Druid. We have been shooting in Spain since May. It has been two years now since playing Hermann Goering in Nuremberg. The long sweaty days in the beautiful Spanish sunshine have definitely been a great motivator. As I always say, it’s one layer of tissue paper at a time. Consistency is your friend.”

McIntyre also shared the photo with the caption:

“When the Gladiator met the Scottish Warrior. My General.”

Russell Crowe Continues His Incredible Physical Transformation

For longtime fans, the photo is particularly striking.

Over the past decade, Crowe’s weight became a frequent topic of discussion as the actor stepped away from the warrior-like physique that made him famous in Gladiator. But over the past year, he’s steadily worked his way back into shape.

Generation Iron previously reported on Crowe’s remarkable 57-pound weight loss, which he discussed during an appearance on The Joe Rogan Experience.

Crowe credited several lifestyle changes for his transformation, including significantly reducing his alcohol consumption, focusing on recovery, improving his overall health, and embracing a more consistent approach to training.

Rather than chasing a number on the scale, Crowe explained that his goal was to improve his quality of life, reduce inflammation, and regain the ability to train comfortably.

Now, his latest physique update suggests those efforts continue to pay off.

Training for The Last Druid

The latest photo also gives fans their first real glimpse at how Crowe is preparing physically for The Last Druid.

While the actor hasn’t revealed specifics about his training routine, it’s clear he’s adding muscle as filming continues. Standing beside the 6-foot-5 Drew McIntyre, one of WWE’s most physically imposing stars, Crowe still looks impressively built, with noticeably larger arms and shoulders than fans have seen in years.

His comment about “one layer of tissue paper at a time” also reflects the mindset that has driven his transformation: consistency over quick fixes.

For many in the bodybuilding and fitness community, it’s another reminder that meaningful physique changes are possible well into your 60s with disciplined training and sustainable lifestyle changes.

Russell Crowe Is Proving Age Doesn’t Have to Slow You Down

Hollywood transformations are nothing new, but Crowe’s stands out because it wasn’t built around a short-term crash diet.

Instead, it’s been a gradual process focused on health, longevity, and performance. Now, as he prepares for The Last Druid, the actor appears to be in some of his best shape in years.
