The New Generation! Sergio Oliva Jr. Trains with Joseph Baena!

The next generation have joined forces.

The rivalry between Sergio Oliva and Arnold Schwarzenegger has been well documented in the Golden Era of bodybuilding. The two Olympia champions went back and forth during their heyday in the late 1960s into the 1970s. Their rivalry would become iconic and one of the most memorable in competitive bodybuilding history.

Flash forward to today and the progeny of both these iconic bodybuilders have been spotted training together.

That’s right, Sergio Oliva Jr. and Joseph Baena, the son of Arnold Schwarzenegger, took some photos after training with each other at the iconic Gold’s Gym.

We don’t have to be who they were, just who we are meant to be. And because some people can’t just take in a great monumental photo at the Mecca and HAVE to compare an IFBB Pro to someone just getting into fitness seriously just know this. When I was @projoe2 age I weighed 55lbs less than what he does in this photo. And when I was that weight everyone told me how I would never ever be anything. It’s truly impressive to see the next generation of bodybuilders joining forces to add to the legacy of stand out Olympia champions Sergio Oliva and Arnold Schwarzenegger.
