On A Quest To Destroy The Competition, Steve Cook Announces His Return Date

The return.

Bodybuilding can be a truly exhausting task. While many people believe the endeavor is simply a matter of lifting heavy weight and putting it down, the reality of the situation is that lifting is simply one element of the science project that is bodybuilding. You have to push yourself to levels that you may have never imagined. It’s the reason why so many individuals give up on bodybuilding competitively. Getting up on stage to be judged can bruise egos, but that isn’t what takes it out of a competitor. Training day in and day out can become tedious, it can leave you feeling unmotivated. For Steve Cook, that was exactly the case.

Steve Cook has become somewhat of an internet fitness icon in the last few years. However, competing on stage is what originally grew his fan base in the industry. Ever since going pro in 2011, Steve Cook has been a major competitor in the men’s physique division. He was set for big things after winning the Houston Pro in 2012. When he finally stepped on stage at the 2013 Olympia, it was a shock to some that he only came in eighth place when many expected him to destroy the competition. The following year he came in fifth place at the biggest show of the year.

Then came the hiatus.

Steve Cook wanted to experience something more than just training for physique competition. Since stepping off stage in 2014, Cook has made some awesome videos showcasing some interesting training with some of the fitness world’s best. But it seems that the itch of competition has consumed Cook and now it looks like he’s set to scratch it. Wondering when Steve Cook will once again hit the stage?
