The difference between criticizing at the judges table and criticizing from your couch.
IRON CINEMA – Every Monday we connect you with Generation Iron director Vlad Yudin. Get a first hand look at the entire journey of the bodybuilding industry – ranging from athlete interviews, behind-the-scene looks at major events, and insight into the Generation Iron Fitness Network‘s original shows and films.
During my chat with IFBB Pro Head Judge Steve Weinberger we touched upon so many topics that we couldn’t keep it all in just one video. That’s why this week we’re releasing part 2 of my conversation with Steve – this time going into detail about the balance and relationship between a judge, the fans, and the athletes. It’s no secret that Steve will often sit with athletes and critique their physique and posing – it’s something he is very open about and would do for any athlete. But once the bodybuilders get up on the official competition stage – everything changes. Steve often talks with athletes before and after competitions… and he’s brutally honest about why they were given a specific placing. Even if it’s not what they want to hear, even if they are friends, the honest remains the same. Check out the rest of our conversation in the Iron Cinema episode above.
