SLEEPER CELL

It’s friday, and there’s a myriad of things you could be doing. Hitting the pub, visiting friends for the weekend, drunk dialing ex-girlfriends…or all of the above. What’s great about all of these options is that they fit perfectly in the time slot of 6;30 prelims, and 8 o’clock main card of Bellator 157. Besides being convenient in almost every situation, this card has some pretty interesting fights that most fight fans would want to see. Main Event: Rampage Jackson vs. Satoshi Ishii There are two reasons this fight could potentially be awesome. For one, Satoshi Ishii is a southpaw with an olympic judo background, and rampage is notorious for having trouble with southpaws. Two, Rampage is using this fight as a springboard to get a rematch with Matt Mitrione to pay him back for the beating he put on him back in TUF season 10. If rampage comes out emotional, combined with the fact he’s fighting a southpaw, he could find himself staring up at the lights before the bell. Michael Chandler vs… Michael Chandler vs. anybody. Did I mention Michael Chandler? Michael Chandler is an all out fighter, who basically declares war every time he steps into the cage. This 14-3 lightweight fighter can do it on the ground and on the feet. If you’ve never seen his fight against Eddie Alvarez, go watch it, now! Combined with the no holds bar striking of (16-7) Patricky Pitbull and this co-main event is shaping up to be a riot. There’s kickboxing What’s cool/weird about Bellator is that they’ve got kickboxing. As of 2016 they have a kickboxing match after the main event, a sort of night cap if you will. It’s a good change of pace from the usual mma and some of those fights are pretty stellar. There’s no UFC There’s no ufc, it conflicts with nothing, and it’s free. Done. To think about it this should’ve been number one. So there you have it. A couple of simple reasons why you should watch Bellator 157 this friday! Watch it and let us know what you think.
