Tiffany Chapon Sets Squat World Record in the 47kg Class at 2026 IPF Classic Open
Tiffany Chapon did it again in dominating fashion – regaining the title while setting new squat and total world records at the 2026 IPF World Classic Open Powerlifting Championships in Druskininkai, Lithuania.
Competing at a bodyweight of just 46.8 kilograms (103.2 pounds), Chapon went eight-for-nine on the day and captured her fifth IPF World Championship title, at just 25 years old.

- 157.5 kg (347.2 lbs)
- 167.5 kg (369.3 lbs)

Despite missing her final attempt, Chapon still posted the biggest bench press of the competition in her division. A successful third attempt would have tied her own world record.

- 177.5 kg (391.3 lbs)
Chapon closed the competition with a clutch final deadlift that secured another world-record performance and sealed the overall victory.
Total

The mark eclipsed Chapon’s previous world record total of 451.5 kilograms, also set earlier this year at Sheffield.
Tiffany Chapon Reclaims the Throne
The 2026 IPF World Championships served as a statement performance from Chapon, who entered the event looking to reclaim the top spot in one of powerlifting’s most competitive weight classes. She delivered with authority, setting two world records and nearly becoming the first woman in the division to reach a 1,000-pound total on the IPF stage.
With a world-record squat, a dominant bench press showing, and a competition-winning deadlift, Chapon once again proved why she remains the standard in the Women’s 47KG class. As the reigning world champion and owner of multiple world records, she leaves Lithuania firmly back on top of the division.
