UFC 195 RESULTS BREAKDOWN

Generation Iron UFC 195 MMA

UFC 195 Overview.

For those of us who consider the perfect New Years Eve celebration a blow by blow battle in the latest MMA fight… you were probably watching UFC 195 last night. We were too and until we get up a full review of the entire night – we’ve got a breakdown of the results for anyone who was too drunk to see the carnage break out in the octagon. Check it out below:

Joseph Duffy vs Dustin Porier

Joseph Duffy vs Dustin Porier Their UFC Fight Night in Dublin May have been scratched due to an unfortunate medical issue, but now Joseph Duffy and Dustin Poirier will meet at UFC 195. Though Poirier has looked impressive since returning to the lightweight division, there are still some glaring holes in his game. He’s a hard hitter for sure, but his defensive skills leave much to be desired. Duffy has proved himself to be a more than competent striker especially when moving forward. Duffy also has a decent counter striking game that will prove to be Poirier’s undoing. Once he hurts his opponent I see Duffy seeking a submission to finish the job. Joseph Duffy defeats Dustin Poirier by submission.

Andre Arlovski vs Stipe Miosic

Andre Arlovski vs Stipe Miosic Everyone likes an Cinderella story, a moment for the underdog to battle through the odds and come out on top. Unfortunately for a certain former UFC champion, Andre Arlovski has the bad luck of running into the surging heavyweight Stipe Miosic. With both men preferring to strike, this fight will come down to the intangibles. Arlovski is definitely a great striker, and though I’d love for him to pull out the upset for pure nostalgia reasons, Miosic is the younger and fresher fighter by far. This fight will come down to who the better athlete and all signs point to Stipe Miosic. Stipe Miosic defeats Andre Arlovski by decision.

Robbie Lawler vs Carlos Condit

Robbie Lawler vs Carlos Condit This is it. The main event of UFC 195 is a definitely going to be a barn burner. Robbie Lawler has proven himself to be a true champion with his hard earned victory over Rory Macdonald this past July. The champion meets Carlos Condit in the main event and the challenger is definitely a hungry and dangerous opponent for anyone in the UFC welterweight division. Both men are primarily strikers and most likely the fight will take place on the feet. Lawler has the power advantage, Condit having the advantage in skill set. Condit has earned his nickname as “The Natural Born Killer” with his vast tool kit. The challengers as punches, kicks, elbows and knees that will give most opponents fits. But Lawler had seen it all during his career and will look to use his well developed footwork and boxing to get into range and land some devastating blows to force Condit on the back foot. Though many are giving Condit the edge, I believe “Ruthless” Robbie Lawler will dig deep in a competitive back and forth bout to pull out the victory. Robbie Lawler defeats Carlos Condit by decision.
