List of US States That Have Reopened Gyms

Which states have allowed gyms to reopen?

The global health crisis has really shaken up the world. With the countries across the globe implementing quarantine orders to ensure safety many individuals have been thrown off their routines.

So many different industries have been hit hard by the quarantine. One of those industries is the health and fitness space. So many gyms, traditional and otherwise, have been forced to close their doors to the public. That has left a great deal of avid fitness enthusiasts wanting.

While it’s still possible to get out and exercise at this time, it’s just not quite the same as holding some dumbbells or using your favorite machines. But with countries barring individuals from frequenting gyms it’s just a harsh reality we must accept.

But in the United States not every territory is shut down. There are still some states where gyms are open to the publish under various guidelines. Below is a list of states where gyms have been given the green light to resume operations.

  1. Alabama
  2. Arkansas
  3. Florida
  4. Georgia
  5. Ohio (May 26)
  6. Oklahoma (Must maintain strict social distancing and sanitary protocols)
  7. South Carolina (limited capacity starting May 18)
  8. Tennessee
  9. Utah
  10. West Virginia

For now these states stand alone in allowing gyms to reopen. But with restrictions easing and things opening up again it will only be a matter of time before more states join the list.
