WATCH: Chris Bumstead Does Some Massively Heavy Drop Sets On Chest Day

Chris Bumstead is putting in some heavy drop sets!

Transforming the human body is no simple task. It takes a ton of hard work and planning to bring about change, especially at a high level. When we consider championship level competitors, the programming required to make adequate changes to the physique is truly an intricate task. It’s something that Classic Physique pro Chris Bumstead understands well.

A truly impressive Classic Physique competitor and Olympia runner-up, Chris Bumstead has proven himself to be one of the most talented bodybuilders on the scene today. But he didn’t get to that point by luck. No, it took consistent training and dedication to building every muscle fiber in his body to bring about massive changes.

While the classic approach to bodybuilding will always yield some impressive gains, by switching things up once and awhile, a bodybuilder can make some truly impressive changes to their physique. To do so, one must utilize different training methods in order to confuse the muscles and spark new growth. For Chris Bumstead and many other pros, drop sets work wonders to bring about the necessary changes to the body.

The below Instagram post shows Chris Bumstead putting in the hard work as he prepares to hit the stage once again later this year.

I don’t often go this heavy on bench press, but when I’m feelin a lil spicy and throw on some extra weight, I like to turn it into a drop set to get dat volume in.? This workout I just warmed up to this one all out drop set and then moved on to the next exercise?? Shoutout to @mattypaolini for the spot and @jed_north for the swag??
