Chris Bumstead was hospitalized weeks out from the Olympia.

Competing in professional bodybuilding has it’s fair share of obstacles and daunting circumstances. It takes a tremendous amount of dedication and sacrifice in order to reach the summit. To get to the level of reaching the Olympia in the professional ranks requires a great deal of talent mixed in as well. Chris Bumstead has all these and a great deal of potential that could one day see him becoming Classic Physique Olympia champion.


Once again placing second at the 2018 Olympia, Chris Bumstead was able to bring a pretty impressive physique to the stage. Yet despite that fact, fans and judges noticed that the young bodybuilder was a bit off during his Olympia showing. He was less crisp and defined as he was the year prior. The big question on everyone’s minds was why.

Now, Chris Bumstead has chosen to break his silence about the rough patch he had to sift through in order to compete at the 2018 Olympia. It appears that the rising star was hospitalized ahead of the show and it could be a major reason why he was unable to perform at an even higher level.
