With Months of Intense Training Under His Belt, Chris Bumstead Looks Olympia Ready

Chris Bumstead is pulling out all the stops.

For some individuals there’s nothing worse than coming in second place. For a great many it means being the first loser. It can be a crushing way to think about things, especially if you’re already hard on yourself to begin with. But others use that placing as a motivator, a sign that they really do have what it takes to become number one. It seems that over the last year Chris Bumstead has been taking the latter approach.

Rather than focus solely on beating Classic Physique Olympia champion Breon Ansley, Chris Bumstead has instead decided to shift his focus onto himself. Bumstead had the opportunity to avenge his loss to Ansley at the Arnold Classic, but he was instead intent on making all the possible improvements necessary to bring the best version of himself to the stage come September.

Chris Bumstead has been putting in some intense training with some of the best bodybuilders in the world including perennial Open Weight division contender Shawn Rhoden and hardcore trainer Chris “Psycho” Lewis.

It’s obvious that Bumstead has improved from last year and it shows in his recent progress pics. Not only has he put on solid size, but he’s been diligently working on his posing routine as well.

Do you think Chris Bumstead will win at the Olympia?
