Injuries happen at the gym – it’s sadly unavoidable due to the mere fact that weightlifting involves heavy weights and metal machinery. As much as safety and precautions are pursued by the gym and (most) of the people training, accidents happen. That’s why things like form and knowing your limits isn’t just boring talk – it’s important in order to prevent injury. Because if you are injured then you’re no longer able to train your hardest to improve in the gym (and it just hurts and is dangerous – of course).
But as long as there are cameras and the internet there will always be workout fails caught on camera. And this week’s best videos leads off with a barbell whipping up into a lifters face unexpectedly… and if it even hurts half as much as it looks, it’s enough to make us cringe.
