Triple H Talks Impact Of Arnold Schwarzenegger
Triple H was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2019 along with his former group, D-Generation-X. He was known for his work alongside Shawn Michaels terrorizing the WWE. Triple H also saw plenty of success as an individual known as “The Game.” Over the weekend, he was finally inducted for his individual accomplishment and discussed the impact from a legendary bodybuilder.
In his speech, Triple H referenced the movie Pumping Iron and Schwarzenegger’s book ‘Education of a Bodybuilder.’
“I’d watch a movie called Pumping Iron where I discovered Arnold. I’d read a book he wrote called Education of a Bodybuilder, which I probably read a thousand times. In that book, there would be a blueprint Arnold had as a kid from Austria that would decide to become the greatest bodybuilder on the planet, that he was going to move to America, which was unheard of and he was going to become the biggest movie star of all-time then he was going to get into politics and so on and so forth.”
Triple H admitted that he read that book multiple times in his life and it helped create his own blueprint of what he wanted from his career.
“I read that book like it was a blueprint of how to get what you wanted out of life. And it started in that gym because the weights didn’t lie. The harder you work, the more you got out of it. The more you got out of it, the more you succeeded. And for me, that was everything.”
Triple H was a staple of the company during the Attitude Era and Ruthless Aggression Era. He won the WWE Championship nine times, World Heavyweight Championship five times, and Intercontinental Championship five times. During his career, Levesque also held the World Tag Team title, along with Stone Cold Steve Austin, and European title. Triple H was known for his shredded physique, athleticism, and personality on the microphone. He will remain a part of the WWE and will forever have a legacy known as one of the top personalities the company has ever had.
