Oh how the mighty have fallen

The fighter formerly known as the #1 contender, Yoel Romero, has been taken off of the UFC middleweight rankings list. Yoel Romero just came off of a win in UFC 194 against Jacare Souza, which would have made him the most likely candid for a title shot against champion Luke Rockhold. However, after a statement by the UFC stating Yoel Romero was under investigation for an out of competition drug test, things started to look doubtful – and now this. Now we’re not sure if this is just typical UFC protocol for a fighter under investigation but we know this doesn’t bode well for Yoel Romero. If this does actually mean that Romero will be out for an extended period of time the rematch with #1 ranked contender Chris Weidman becomes that more real. Follow us on Fbook, Insta and Twitter
