With Expo Rumored to be Canceled, The 2020 Olympia May be Shown on Pay-Per-View

Olympia on pay-per-view.

Times are uncertain. That may be the understatement of the decade. With the emergence of the global health crisis live events have been inaccessible due to spread of the sickness. This has made bodybuilding shows all but impossible to pull off with a crowd.

As the global health crisis continues to threaten the welfare of the citizenry as well as big and small businesses alike, bodybuilders continue to prepare for the Olympia.

That’s right, not even a global sickness can set back the biggest bodybuilding show of them all.

But while the Olympia is scheduled to move forward, it doesn’t mean the show will be open to the public. Precautions must be made and kept in order to maintain the safety of the fans.

According to several sources, the Olympia Expo could potentially be canceled. While official word has yet to be given, the likelihood of the expo is fairly low. With the public health crisis still a threat and travel restrictions still in place, it’s seems unlikely that fans from around the globe will be able to attend.

In an attempt to bring the 2020 Olympia to the people, Jake Wood, new owner of the Olympia brand, has teased a move to a pay-per-view format.

In a recent interview, Jake Wood spoke about the possibility.

“Provided that we can work out our plans, and achieve the things we want to achieve, we may be announcing some things regarding pay-per-view, here in the future,” said Wood. “There’s a lot of moving parts on it. That was one of the big developments we really wanted to put forward this year, but because had to change hotels and deal with all of that, it kind of got pushed back. Now we’re trying to play a little bit of catch up on it.”

If the 2020 Olympia is indeed on Pay-Per-View would you purchase it?
