The 2023 Europe’s Strongest Man competition has an official event list.
The 2023 Europe’s Strongest Man is less than a month away and there is now an official list of events for the competition. Recently, event organizer Giants Live took to Instagram to share the list of five events that Strongmen will go through in order to compete for a title.
Oleksii Novikov will return to the event to defend his title from 2022. He has yet to throw his name into the 2023 World’s Strongest Man event but will loo to make it two in a row in England. He will enter as the favorite and will be tested by the likes of Adam Bishop.
The competition is scheduled to take place on April 1 at the First Direct Arena in Leeds, England. Below, you can take a look at the full list of events. Some will look familiar given the fact that they have been used in the past. To this point, any weight or time limits have not been shared.

2023 Europe’s Strongest Man Official Events
- Log Press Ladder
- Load & Push Race
- Deadlift For Reps
- Conan’s Wheel
- Castle Stones
Log Press Ladder
The Log Press Ladder has become a favorite in Strongman. This is how competitors will kick off the show. The ladder is meant to show off upper body strength and endurance, like many events in the show. Competitors will be asked to lift a series of logs over their heads with the weight increasing each rep. Again, the weights and times have not been shared yet.
Load & Push Race
The second event will add speed into the mix. Competitors will be asked to move heavy objects across a course as quick as they can. Along with speed and endurance, raw and explosive strength will be put to the test here. Over the course of the show, these events will look to work different strengths for athletes.
Deadlift For Reps
Deadlifts are next up. Strongmen will ask to life weight off the ground as many times as possible within a set time. Deadlifts are one of the most popular lifts in fitness and it always finds a way to be incorporated during shows.

Conan’s Wheel
Conan’s Wheel might be the most difficult event in the show. Athletes will hold a weight and walk in a circle for a certain amount of time. Once again, endurance will be tested along with raw strength and grip.
Castle Stones
The final event of the show is one that is very popular in Strongman. Competitors will have to lift stones onto different platforms that are set at different heights. The stones are difficult to lift and place on platforms because of their insane weight and shape.
