2024 Arnold Strongman & Strongwoman Classic Events Announced

Arnold Strongman Classic 2023 Mitchell Hooper

There will be a total of five events over two days during the 2024 Arnold Strongman & Strongwoman Classic.

The 2024 Arnold Strongman and Strongwoman Classic competitions have become big-time attractions during the Arnold Sports Festival in Columbus, OH. This year, the competitions will take place from March 1-2 and feature some of the biggest names in the sport.

The full lineups were announced just a few short weeks ago and there is now a full schedule of events. Below, check out the five events that will span across two packed days.

2024 Arnold Strongman & Strongwoman Classic Events

There will be five events spread out over the course of two days. On Day One, the men and women will compete in the same events with slight changes coming on Day Two.

Elephant Bar Deadlift

This will be the first event of the day for both the men and women. The bar used is longer than a standard deadlift, which allows more weight to be added. This is an event that has been featured in any Strongman events and it is always exciting to see the strongest men in the world move massive amounts of weight.

Frame Carry

The next event is the second and final of Day One for both the men and women. It is typical of Strongman and Strongwoman competitions to carry a large item for a distance across the finish line. Here, it is a wooden frame that is carried across an inclined course. The weight for this event has not been shared yet.

Dinnie Stone Carry / Neck Stone Carry

The first event for the men on Saturday will be a Dinnie Stone Carry. The competitors will pick up one stone per hand that vary in weight. One stone will be 188kg (414.5lbs) while the second is 144.5kg (318.5lbs). This will not be a timed event. Instead, competitors must carry the stones for the longest distance.

The women will not compete in this event. Instead, they all use Jeck Stones. This will also be a carry event measured using distance.

Apollon’s Wheel / Monster Dumbbell

The men will move onto Apollon’s Wheel, where they will be asked to press an axle-type barbell overhead. This exercise will work shoulder strength. The women will also be working shoulders but instead of a barbell, they will be using a huge dumbbell and using one arm.

Stone Medley

The final event for both men and women will be the stone medley. There was not details provided about this event but Atlas Stones have been a popular event in the sport for a long time. There will be more details about each event announced as the show creeps closer.
