2024 World’s Strongest Man Competition Returning To Myrtle Beach

The location and dates of the 2024 World’s Strongest Man has been announced.

The 2024 World’s Strongest Man competition officially has a location to go along with a date. The biggest event in Strongman will return to Myrtle Beach, SC from May 1-5.

The 47th rendition of the World’s Strongest Man will take place at the Burroughs & Chapin Pavilion Place for the second consecutive year. Last year, the event space was a great area for fans to watch the event and had plenty of accommodations for athletes, including hotel stays.

The official announcement was made on the YouTube page of the event and Karen Riordan, President & CEO of Visit Myrtle Beach made a statement on the news:

“We’re excited to welcome the World’s Strongest Man competition back to Myrtle Beach and the Burroughs and Chapin Pavilion Place for a second consecutive year.The crowd at the 2023 event exceeded our expectations, as we saw fans from around the US and the world cheer on the competitors over the four days of the event. We can’t wait to welcome the strongmen and their fans back to The Beach and hope they enjoy all our destination has to offer.”

2024 World’s Strongest Man

The official roster and event list for the contest will be announced at a later date, along with ticket information.

In 2022, Mitchell Hooper became the first Canadian to win the coveted World’s Strongest Man championship at the 46th edition of the show. Hooper is a Physical Therapist with a Masters in Clinical Exercise Physiology from the University of Sydney, and a Bachelors in Human Kinetics from the University of Guelph. Hooper is also a certified strength and conditioning specialist, and now he is the strongest man in the world.

Before competitors set sights on the WSM, many will compete at the Arnold Strongman Classic in March 2024. This will feature some of the best names in the world, such as Martins Licis and Oleksii Novikov, along with Hooper. Hafthor Bjornsson will also be making his return to Strongman come March.
