Andrea Thompson has been crowned champion after Jammie Booker was disqualified.

The 2025 World’s Strongest Woman results are officially final and they did not come without controversy.

The competition took place from Nov. 20-23 in Arlington, Texas with 10 competitors battling it out across six events to be crowned champion. In the end, Jammie Booker edged out Andrea Thompson to take home the title. Later on, it was discovered that Booker was born a male, which violated the rules of the competition.

Organizers would make an announcement sharing that Booker had been disqualified and Thompson, who finished second by just one point, would be named champion.

“It appears that an athlete who is biologically male and who now identifies as a female competed in the Women’s Open category. Official Strongman officials were unaware of this fact ahead of the competition and we have been urgently investigating since being informed.”

“Had we been aware, or had this been declared at any point or during the competition, this athlete would not have been permitted to compete in the Women’s Open category. We are clear — competitors can only compete in the category for the biological sex recorded at birth.”
