Alex Eubank provided a health update after returning home from the hospital.

Alex Eubank is a fitness star that has built a massive following on social media due to his insane physique. Recently, the 23-year-old wanted to detox his body and attempted a 48-hour fast. Midway through, it took a turn for the worst as he was sent to the hospital after suffering what he believes was a panic attack.

Intermittent fasting has become a popular method for weight loss where a person goes through a prolonged period without eating. The reason this is such an effective diet for many people is that it allows you to eat larger portions. This makes your meals much more enjoyable and makes getting full a lot easier, which is vital for sustainable weight loss.

In Eubank’s case, he believes that his anxiety, parlayed with a lack of food, caused his body togo numb.

“Im 99% sure it was anxiety. I had a mean panic attack and I think it was amplified due to the fact that I did not have any food in me for 24 hours, which I have never done before.”

Eubank has since been released from the hospital and shared a health update on his YouTube page. He was at a movie theater when the episode began. Eubank began experiencing strange symptoms and once this happened, he became “overly aware” of other aspects.

“I started getting a weird feeling. My hands and feet were like cold. You know how people who have low iron get cold hands and feet. I started getting like that, which was weird. Near the end, I started getting overly aware of my breathing and stuff.

“I laid down in the car and was about to leave but felt like I shouldn’t drive because I felt a panic attack coming on…Then I started to get like my hands, my feet, my arms, my legs, my stomach, my back, my neck, my chest started to get numb. The only place that I felt anything was my center chest, wherever my heart was, that I didn’t feel numb. I couldn’t move anything and I could barely speak.”

Alex Eubank Speaks On Mental Health

At the end of the video, Alex Eubank shared the details of his hospital visit. He will be undergoing a heart stress test and more bloodwork to make sure that everything is fine.

At the time, the feeling was so bad that he felt like he was going to die.

“It got so bad that I couldn’t feel any part of my body, I remember praying to God. Like ‘Lord, please forgive me for my sins.’ I basically accepted the fact that death was coming and that I was going to die.”

This experience was a scary one for Alex Eubank and he ended his video by speaking about the importance of mental health.

“That was the scariest sh*t that has ever happened to me in my entire life.

Anxiety, bro. Panic attacks. That type of disorder is a real thing. Mental health is terrible. I’ve never had it that bad. I think the fast amplified it because I already have a history of being hypoglycemic. That along with the fast, also I get social anxiety so being at a movie theater with a bunch of people, it all topped off and made me shut down.”
