A Greek Soldier Is Tearing Up The Mediterranean Bodybuilding Scene

In Greece as well as the US, crossover between the military and bodybuilding worlds is quite common.

One example is Trikarinos Mainz George Margaritis, who serves in Provaton of Evros and is known throughout the Panhellenic Republic, for his participation and dominance in various IFBB sanctioned competitions.

He is a highly prolific athlete, and has managed to create a strong image for himself with military activity and a long career. He started competing in bodybuilding in 2010, first taking stage at the Body Fitness category at the WABBA Championship, and taking a hard fought second place. From there he was off to the races. His second outing, at the European WABBA, saw him claim 3rd place in the Fitness category. The next year he managed to capture a more prestigious third place at the WABBA Championships.

This sent him to eventually compete at the World of WABBA in Budapest, 2014 in Mr WABBA in Crete, and the WABBA Championships. In the last two events, he took home first prize.

This set up his road to the IFBB ATHENS DIAMOND CUP which is considered by many to be the most challenging international competition in the country. He ended up taking 3rd place in Classic BB +1.80.
