…Ronnie Coleman’s got married!
Ronnie Coleman has always been known for his physique. The 8x Mr. Olympia champion is considered one of the greatest of all time and at over 300lb competition weight he’s a physical specimen that’s hard to deny. But Ronnie hasn’t made a run in almost a decade, yet somehow he’s still a staple in most bodybuilder’s lives? The truth is that Ronnie Coleman is more than just muscles, he’s made an impact on us through his charisma and obsessive hard work. Hard work that has sometimes gotten him into trouble.
Earlier this year the bodybuilding legend went through multiple major back surgeries which was accumulated through years of superhuman lifting. When asked if he had any regrets, this is what he said:
“It was worth it without a doubt but yes, I would have done it differently if I could go back. I would have trained HARDER! I know for a fact that I could have done four reps on that 800-pound squat instead of two, but I had two set in my mind before I even picked it up, so that’s what I did. So yes, I would go back and train even harder and be damn sure to get four reps on that 800-pound squat.”
A true warrior. But the new season seem to have brought new luck for the gentle giant as he’s managed to move onto the next phase of his life and get himself into a marriage. Ronnie Coleman was married to long time girlfriend Mrs. Susan Coleman this weekend with IFBB pro Cory Matthews officiating the wedding.
One of the greatest days of my life. Marrying the greatest woman I’ve ever met on this planet. Mrs. Susan Coleman, they don’t get no better than this woman. Also @corymathewsifbb did a great and wonderful job of officiating the wedding. Now it’s time to get back to work and working out. #yeahbuddy #lightweightbaby #itstillaintnothingbutapeanut
We’re happy for Ronnie Coleman here at Generation Iron and glad to see things are finally coming together for one of the giants of bodybuilding. Mazel tov!
