After The 2018 Olympia It’s Clear, The Classic Division Has The Best Physiques In Bodybuilding

Is the Classic Physique division better than Open Weight?

Open Weight bodybuilding is the main event of the Olympia, there’s no doubt about it. Seeing men defy the laws of what’s possible, taking their physiques to inhuman levels of size and power while still remaining shredded is truly an impressive feat. Yet despite that fact, it can be argued that competitors in the Open Weight division don’t posses the greatest physiques in all of bodybuilding.

To some that notion may sound like blasphemy, but let’s take a moment to consider the facts. As far as size and mass is concerned, the Open Weight division has any other division beat. But when you consider the newly established Classic Physique division, you have to wonder if the Open Weight division has met it’s match. Classic Physique possesses some of the most talented athletes in the game today, all of them shredded, proportioned, and holding some greatly developed musculature.

We have to consider that the Classic Physique division holds some of the most impressive physiques in all of bodybuilding. In fact, when compared to other divisions, you could argue that Classic Physique competitors are the top of the food chain in regards to balanced muscle and supreme conditioning.

The below Instagram post from Classic Physique Olympia bronze medalist George Peterson showcases just how incredible the athletes are in the division. At the Olympia, you’d be hard pressed to find a division with competitors so closely matched in their musculature and conditioning.

As massive as the Open Weight competitors are, it can’t be denied that the athletes in the Classic Physique division possess some equally improbable physical forms.

Which division do you believe is superior?
