Phil Heath to undergo surgery and gets support from his old rival Kai Greene.

It’s no secret that Phil Heath was off his game at the 2018 Olympia. He didn’t perform up to his usual standard and it appears that there is a very clear reason for that. Phil Heath recently revealed that he had to undergo major surgery.

With Phil Heath heading into the operation room today, one of his old rivals has gone out of his way to send some encouraging words of support.

While on the surface it appeared that Kai Greene and Phil Heath were the worst of enemies, it appears that notion couldn’t be farther from the truth. Kai Greene was one of the competitors that brought out the best in Phil Heath and because of that both men will be eternally linked.

Now, as Phil Heath goes under the knife once again, Kai Greene is sending positive vibes to his former rival. The message both shows respect to Phil Heath and also implies that we could see the two rivals face off once again down the line. Whether that will actually happen is yet to be seen, but for now we can look at this gesture for what it is: an old rival showing that he has no hard feelings towards his former opponent and that there is a ton of respect for those who have traveled down the same road.
