Training injuries can be the absolute worst.
Bodybuilding training can be an exceptionally tough task. While the uneducated may simply look at the endeavor as just lifting things up and putting it down, there are intricate details in training that can mean the difference between a successful workout session and a tremendous amount of pain. The fear of injury is a constant in any athletic endeavor, yet there’s a difference between performing in competition and training the body in the gym. Lifting weights are apart of most strength and conditioning programs, so even if you weren’t trying to build up the body, injury from weightlifting is always a worry.
There’s truly nothing worse than injuring yourself right when you’re on a roll. Whether you’re at a powerlifting competition, prepping for a fight in the gym, or putting the finishing touches on arm day, the possibility of a lifting injury lurks at every corner. But a true athlete won’t allow those concerns to deter them from making gains. The point of training is to optimize performance so throwing in the towel before even trying isn’t an option.
Yet, despite the fact that you may have a never say die attitude, the reality is that at one time or another you will suffer an injury. When you’re training hard you can expect to push yourself too far and things to go horribly wrong. And because if the sadists that we all are, watching individuals go through that trauma seems to be fascinating to us. So, with that said, here are some of the worst bicep injuries caught on tape.
