Hadi Choopan’s Visa Issues Block Him From The Arnold Classic 2018. Will He Ever Compete In The US?

Hadi Choopan sees his prospects at winning the Arnold Classic dashed.

One of the most talented bodybuilders in the game today and a true standout in the 212 division, Hadi Choopan reportedly won’t be able to compete at the 2018 Arnold Classic.

With his recent showings against heavy hitters in both the 212 and Open Weight divisions, James “Flex” Lewis and Cedric McMillan respectively, Hadi Choopan has been setting himself up to be one of the best bodybuilders in the game today. However, due to Visa issues, Choopan sees his chance at glory snagged out from under him.

This isn’t the first time that visa issues have prevented him from competing on bigger stages against more top class competitors – which begs the question, will Hadi ever be able to compete in major US competitions such as the Arnold Classic and Mr. Olympia? And more importantly, can his career as a bodybuilder truly progress without being able to compete against his most talented contemporaries?

We saw how much controversy was built up after Hadi had a chance to stand next to Flex Lewis on stage. Many believed Hadi should have beaten the reigning Mr. Olympia champion Flex Lewis. So imagine if Hadi was able to compete in the Arnold Classic and Mr. Olympia year after year? His entire career would change. He would be one of the most talked about competitors in the industry.

As of now though – it seems that Hadi won’t have that opportunity. And if the past pattern proves to be true for the future… we will most likely not see him compete at an Arnold Classic or Mr. Olympia anytime soon. Is Hadi Choopan fated to fade away into simply a “what if” bodybuilder? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below!
