Brian Shaw Goes All Out Training For Last Show, Does 720 Lb Chest Press

Brian Shaw is looking beastly on the standing chest press.

Four-time World’s Strongest Man Brian Shaw gets prepped for his final Strongman show and does some intense training, pushing 720 lbs on the chest press. The feat was extra impressive due to the fact that Shaw performed the movement on a standing chest press machine, meaning he used all upper body strength for the movement. This dedication to training shows just how much work Shaw is putting in for his curtain call performance.

Strength is everything to a strongman athlete. If the sport’s name wasn’t proof enough of this, the competitors themselves are exemplary examples of superhuman strength. Each strongman athlete pushes themselves to the brink with every passing competition. Often competitors are injured in training and in competition in an attempt to secure victory and establish themselves in the history books. The sacrifices made to obtain that strength are nothing short of mind-bending. Yet time and again, strongman athletes put their bodies to the test to achieve strength few humans are capable of.

It’s what has made Brian Shaw such an incredible athlete.

Intense Training

Heading into his final show at the 2023 Shaw Classic, veteran strongman Brian Shaw appears to be leaving no stone unturned in preparation. With so many accolades under his belt, Shaw is looking to go out strong and call it a career. But with that said, the four-time WSM champion is resting on his laurels. It appears that he’s training as hard as he ever has.

Brian Shaw is looking to go out with a bang with his final performance at the Shaw Classic. In his preparation for the show Shaw recently utilized the standing chest press, a machine that is arguably more difficult to use than the bench press. Where the bench press focuses on recruiting a multitude of muscle groups, including the legs, the standing chest press focused solely on the upper body alone.

This event is gonna be crazy theshawclassic this year where we will crown The Strongest Man on Earth!

So many strongmen are great at bench press and have never gotten the opportunity to put their strength on display…August 19th and 20th we will find out who is the king of the bench in strongman!

Who do you think will take the top spot in this event??
