Brian Shaw Believes Eddie Hall “Crossed The Line” During Arm Wrestling Match

Brian Shaw reflected on his arm wrestling match with Eddie Hall and discussed all angles.

Brian Shaw and Eddie Hall recently took part in an arm wrestling match that drew plenty of attention in the fitness world. In the end, it was Shaw who came out on top. Nearly two weeks later, the former World’s Strongest Man reflected on the bout between fellow Strongman legend.

“There were some antics during the match. Things escalated very quickly during the match. Eddie was trying to be a showman and trying to put on a show. I think at certain points, Eddie did cross the line.”

Shaw discussed an incident where he and Hall made their way outside of the table and got in each other’s face. Despite the tension in the heat of competition, Shaw believes Hall crossed a line.

“We were both in the zone. Even if Eddie was crossing the line, some of the things that came out of his mouth, I felt like were too far.”

Brian Shaw Reflects On Performance In Arm Wrestling Match

Brian Shaw continued to break down the match as a whole, which went in his favor by a score of 4-2. Shaw lost round one before rebounding to win the next two.

“There were two fouls and I lost round one. I was able to climb back over his hand and put him down pretty easily in round two. The same thing happened in round three.”

Shaw seems to gain positioning in the fourth round but Hall was able to come out on top. Over the final two rounds, Shaw was able to work what went well early on and closed it out.

“Round four, I got to a point where I was able to slip out. I wanted to get in the strap. When the strap was applied by the head referee, it was very loose.”

“Going into round five, I felt like I was going to go back to what worked in rounds two and three. Did the same thing in round six, I won the match.”

Like many great rivalries, there was a bet involved. Brian Shaw shared that he and Hall had a personal wager on the match and that he intends to collect.

“The loser has to buy an arm wrestling table for the winner. That is not something that I have forgotten and I will be hitting Eddie up to college that.”
