Brian Shaw Takes On Hip-Hop Dancing Class: “I Impressed Myself A Little Bit”

Brian Shaw continues to find new ways to challenge himself.

Brian Shaw is no stranger to new challenges but this time, he decided to step out of the gym. The Strongman legend recently took part in a hip-hop dance class and shared the video on his YouTube page.

Shaw was joined by actor and comedian Bryan Callen during the class, along with the instructor. Callen, who arrived first, joked that he was waiting on Shaw, who made sure to change his shirt before the class.

“I needed to set my arms free. When your arms are big, you wouldn’t understand this, you need sleeves to move because otherwise you rip your shirt. If I would have left the other shirt on, sleeves just boom, gone. I don’t know much about hip-hop but I know I’d get an immediate pump.”

“I did pull-ups and curls today. I workout for dexterity and movement. I workout so I can be super flexible,” Callen responded.

The class began with the instructor going over basic moves that would all be joined together for the routine.

When the class was over, the duo put the moves together and were able to perform the dance. Brian Shaw shared his thoughts following the class.

“Dancing with Brian Shaw, my life is complete. You did well, you moved very well,” Callen said.

“I’m actually impressed. I impressed myself a little bit,” Shaw said.

Brian Shaw was originally training for his MMA debut in the ring before plans changed. Shaw was set to take on Ford in the ring, originally scheduled for Feb. 17. It was an event that would also feature Eddie Hall and Mitchell Hooper battling and the winner of that match would take on Shaw as well. Leading up to the fight, there was a lack of advertisements, which caused come concern that it would not be happening. Shaw shared the news and voiced his displeasure about the cancellation.

As of now, there are no plans for the fights to be rescheduled but Shaw has expressed interested in working on a new deal. For now, he continues to keep himself in shape in many ways.
