Who came in on top at the IFBB California Pro 2020?
Things are really starting to pick up for the bodybuilding season. After months of delays and cancellations, it seems that the IFBB and NPC have found a way to start running competitions again. We’ve had some big back to back shows in the past few weeks including the Tampa Pro and the New York Pro. This weekend saw the California State Championships, often referred to as the California Pro. While this IFBB competition only features the Men’s Open Bodybuilding division, it was another deep line up with some potentially exciting developments.
Most notably, this stretch of competitions is a mad dash for competitors to qualify for the Olympia later in December. While the Mr. Olympia was pushed back a few months, it still doesn’t make up for the six months of time lost for competitors to qualify. These next few weekends are big moments to fill out exactly what the Olympia weekend will look like later this year.
