WHAT DOES CEDRIC MCMILLAN NEED TO BECOME A TOP CONTENDER?

what cedric mcmillan needs headerCedric McMillan needs to make some tweaks.

The Olympia 2016 was an eye opening event for a number of reasons. For one it allowed the masses to understand that if you want to be at the top of the game you have to be consistent. Despite making some incredible gains over the year, Kevin Levrone’s showing on the big stage was lacking compared to all the other young guns. That doesn’t mean he couldn’t come back and make even more gains, but it just goes to show you that bodybuilding is something that takes a tremendous amount of time to get exceptional at. But we also learned that despite his natural talent, Cedric McMillan has some work to do before he can break into the top five.

Unable to compete at the Olympia in 2015, it was great to see Cedric McMillan on stage against the best in the world. Over the calendar year McMillan has made some awesome gains and acquitted himself well against Kai Greene at the Arnold Classic. In fact, the Arnold Classic in Ohio may have been his most impressive showing of the year. Take a look at the picture below to get an idea of the condition Cedric McMillan was in during March of this year.

This condition was able to channel the veteran Kai Greene. Some would even argue that Cedric McMillan was in better condition than the “The Predator” at the Arnold Classic. Yet at the Olympia it seemed as if his conditioning was off.

In order for Cedric to crack the top five at next year’s show he’ll have to put even more focus on his conditioning. He dropped in size from the Arnold Classic to the Olympia and he didn’t show nearly as much definition. Cedric McMillan is a natural talent there’s no denying that. But if he wants to challenge the best of the best, then conditioning is absolutely key to his continued growth in the sport.

What did you think of Cedric McMillan at the 2016 Olympia?
