Chris Bumstead will compete in Men’s Open during the EVLS Prague Pro in three weeks.
Chris Bumstead has played around with the idea of competing in the Men’s Open division before he retires. Now, he will officially take the stage in the biggest division in bodybuilding.
On Monday, Bumstead announced that he will enter the 2025 EVLS Prague Pro in Men’s Open. The competition will take place on Nov. 16-17. Bumstead, who featured in the long-awaited documentary The Raw Story, is a six-time Olympia champion in Classic Physique.

Chris Bumstead shared a post on Instagram announcing the news and went into greater detail on his YouTube page.
“No sense beating around the bush. Something has been posted. It’s already been announced. I’m finally doing an Open show. I’ve been wanting to do this my whole life.”
Chris Bumstead Confirms Men’s Open Appearance
There have been many rumors surrounding Chris Bumstead over the years. Recently, it has been featuring his future on stage and his prospects about moving to Men’s Open. After winning his sixth consecutive Classic Physique Olympia title, Bumstead announced that he would be retiring from competition.
Before he hangs it up, Bumstead will hit the stage in Men’s Open, which has been a topic of conversation for many years now.
“Y’all said I had a decent physique and should try competing… so I figured I’d give it shot.
One more run just for fun, giving the people what they want.I started my competing career in open bodybuilding, with no expectations, just for the love of the sport. So why not finish it in the same fashion.”

Bumstead has stated in the past that he would want to take the Men’s Open stage quickly after the Olympia if he were to make the move. This remained a factor in his decision this year.
“The last three years I’ve been looking at shows post-Olympia, been wanting to jump in them and do them and this is my last opportunity to ever do it. I’m in shape. It’s three weeks until Prague. Why not do it?”
This will be the final competition of the legendary career of Chris Bumstead. He announced his retirement from Classic Physique and will now take one more ride in Open Bodybuilding.
“It’s kind of like a romantic ending to my competitiove stage career because I started in Open Bodybuilding when I was younger.”
