Chris Bumstead’s Athletic Leg Workout

The movements that Bumstead hit strengthened his legs in many ways. He hit a warmup before taking on three exercises:
- Pogos
- Split Squats & Glute-Ham Raises Superset
- One-and-a-Quarter Pendulum Squats
“A lot of the stuff I’m doing is trying to strengthen my feet, my toes, and my ankles, and coordination. I do not have that right now so rebuilding it.”
Chris Bumstead began the workout with pogos before going into barbell split squats with hip extensions. He then transitioned into pendulum squats, which help him add explosiveness to his workouts in different ways.
“These haunted me last year. Doing the quarter rep in the bottom, it’s completely loading that stretched position. Explode to the bottom, strengthen a full range of motion, which is great for your knees.”
