With UFC 196 around the corner you’re likely to see more and more press about the fighters in the main and co-main event spots leading up to the event. Holly Holm and Miesha Tate is a fight that many fans are excited for, specifically because they wish to see if Holm is the real deal after defeating Ronda Rousey. Though it’s hands down the most important match up on the card from top to bottom, it’s hard for any one individual or match up to take away the shine of Conor McGregor. Even with Rafael dos Anjos injured, McGregor was ready to fight on March 5 and was open to all fighters who wished to challenge him. Nate Diaz answered the call and now meets McGregor in the main event. While many people are fans of McGregor’s outspoken and brash nature there are just as many people who find the Irishman loathsome. His brand of mental warfare coupled with his disrespectful tactics towards his opponents has garnered the UFC featherweight champion a tremendous amount of hate. Many believe that the Conor McGregor in front of the cameras and the one behind the scenes are one in the same. But judging a book by its cover has never been the wisest practice and McGregor shows wrinkles of why so many people consider him to be a people’s champion. The video below highlights just how down to earth Conor McGregor can be as he visits a diehard fan ahead of his match up this weekend. Take a look. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z_ZofBjfcDQ Though many want to throw McGregor under the bus and label him to be a crass, brash, uncaring sportsman, it’s great to see that the champion does appreciate his fans and goes out of his way to express as much.
