Addressing Coronavirus Concerns, Jim Manion Gives Update on NPC and IFBB Competition Schedules

Jim Manion breaks silence amid coronavirus concerns.

The coronavirus has people running in fear, concerned that they’ll be the next victims of this growing pandemic. At this point it seems like any social event whether it be going to the movies, having dinner at a restaurant, or attending your favorite sporting event raises the risks of contracting the coronavirus.

Many events have been cancelled in response to the growing concerns about the pandemic that is gripping the globe in fear. Even the Arnold Sports Festival Expo had to be cancelled because of the coronavirus.

Now, NPC Worldwide and IFBB Professional League President Jim Manion has taken it upon himself to address the concerns of the coronavirus and what it could mean for the scheduling of competitive events going forward.

“In light of the incidents that happened last week to the NPC Worldwide Arnold Amateur and Arnold Classic and all associated IFBB Professional League contests in Columbus, Ohio, we felt the need to let everyone know that we have no plans to cancel any scheduled NPC Worldwide and IFBB Professional League contests outside the United States unless such measures are taken by that countries government.

“As always our athlete’s along with officials and fans in attendance, are our top priority. The NPC Worldwide and IFBB Professional League is focused daily on updates from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention internationally concerning COVID-19. As a reminder the CDC has encouraged traditional precautionary prevention measures and guidelines. We will continue to monitor this situation on a daily basis.

“If there are to be any changes or cancelations to scheduled contests, it will appear on all of our official website’s;

ifbbpro.com

npcnewstv.com

“Also all of our related social media outlets. As such, a few international competitions have been postponed to later dates and all updated information for them is on the above website’s and our social media. You may also want to check with that particular contests promoter(s) and their specific website’s and social media.

“We know that COVID-19 information is changing on a day-to-day basis and our members have their concerns and we consider them our top priority as we move forward in uncharted territory.

Yours In Health

Jim Manion”
